Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Torrey Butte Evening by Ed Mell was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 12,800.00 (€ 11,734.51). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ed Mell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Rock Cloud Drift, which sold at auction in November this year for USD 38,400.00 (€ 35,203.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Torrey Butte Evening von Ed Mell wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 12.800,00 (€ 11.734,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ed Mell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Rock Cloud Drift beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 38.400,00 (€ 35.203,52) versteigert wurde.
