Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Illusion:trick", 2010 by Ebba Matz was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 15,000.00 (€ 1,627.53). Admittedly, works by Ebba Matz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Levitation", 2000 in June 2020 with an auction result of SEK 125,000.00 (€ 11,953.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Illusion:trick", 2010 von Ebba Matz im November 2015 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 15.000,00 (€ 1.627,53) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ebba Matz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Levitation", 2000 im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 125.000,00 (€ 11.953,52).
