This artwork by Eanger Irving Couse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. In the Portrait of the WestThe Diane and Sam Stewart Collection auction, the work John Concho, Taos Pueblo sold for USD 52,812.50 (€ 44,756.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eanger Irving Couse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thunder Birds in January 2024 with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 715,783.95).
