Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Giza, 1978 by Duane Michals was sold in the The Gift of Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in December 2021. The price achieved of USD 3,060.00 (€ 2,703.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Duane Michals achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol' in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,356.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Giza, 1978 von Duane Michals wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.060,00 (€ 2.703,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Duane Michals erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Portrait Of Andy Warhol' im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.356,39).
