In the The Surrealist World of Rosalind Gersten Jacobs & Melvin Jacobs Online Sale auction, the work Les 7 périls spectraux sold for USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,915.85) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dorothea Tanning achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le mal oublié in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,440,000.00 (€ 1,341,906.63).
