Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2001 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Man With Tent (Ii) by Dora Carrington. The price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,722.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dora Carrington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers In A Two-Handled Vase in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 59,750.00 (€ 85,950.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man With Tent (Ii) von Dora Carrington zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.722,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dora Carrington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers In A Two-Handled Vase im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 59.750,00 (€ 85.950,05).
