Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Circus Horses by Dora Carrington was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2010. It achieved a price of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,549.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dora Carrington - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers In A Two-Handled Vase, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 59,750.00 (€ 85,950.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Circus Horses von Dora Carrington kam im Dezember 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.549,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Für andere Arbeiten von Dora Carrington mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers In A Two-Handled Vase beobachtet, die im November 2004 für GBP 59.750,00 (€ 85.950,05) versteigert wurde.
