Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Plum Blossom by Dong Shouping was auctioned at POLY in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 8,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 9,600.00 (€ 1,126.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Shouping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Narcissus and Red Berries in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,680,000.00 (€ 309,951.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red Plum Blossom von Dong Shouping kam im November diesen Jahres bei POLY zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 9.600,00 (€ 1.126,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Shouping erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Narcissus and Red Berries im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.680.000,00 (€ 309.951,59).
