The work Narcissus and Red Berries by Dong Shouping was worth HKD 2,680,000.00 (€ 309,951.59) to a buyer in June 2015. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Narcissus and Red Berries the most expensive artwork by Dong Shouping that we have observed at auctions so far.
