Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale, which included the work Landscape of Mount Huangshan by Dong Shouping. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 35,000.00 – 55,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 38,250.00 (€ 4,403.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Shouping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Narcissus and Red Berries in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,680,000.00 (€ 309,951.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape of Mount Huangshan von Dong Shouping zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 38.250,00 (€ 4.403,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Shouping erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Narcissus and Red Berries im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.680.000,00 (€ 309.951,59).
