Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Fishing Boat On A River by Dong Bangda. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,238.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dong Bangda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring in Peach Blossom Land in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 38,620,000.00 (€ 4,706,105.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing Boat On A River von Dong Bangda zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 17.238,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dong Bangda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring in Peach Blossom Land im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 38.620.000,00 (€ 4.706.105,12).
