This artwork by Donald De Lue achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. In the American Paintings auction, the work Genesis - The Evening And The Morning Of The Second Day sold for USD 40,000.00 (€ 25,308.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Donald De Lue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cosmic Head, which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,335.66).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Donald De Lue erzielte im März 2008 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings wurde die Arbeit Genesis - The Evening And The Morning Of The Second Day für USD 40.000,00 (€ 25.308,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Donald De Lue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cosmic Head beobachtet, die im März 2020 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 62.335,66) versteigert wurde.
