Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Quest Eternal by Donald De Lue. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,277.58). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Donald De Lue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cosmic Head, which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,335.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quest Eternal von Donald De Lue zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.277,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Donald De Lue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cosmic Head beobachtet, die im März 2020 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 62.335,66) versteigert wurde.
