In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Reflections High Tide by Donald Bain. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,917.43), 68% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Reflections High Tide the most expensive artwork by Donald Bain that we have observed at auctions so far.
