The work Raven above by Don van Vliet was auctioned at Lempertz in Cologne in June 2019. It achieved a price of EUR 11,780.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68 %. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Don van Vliet; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Shiny Beast of Thought sold at auction in October 2021 with the realized price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,732.77).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 11.780,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 68 %. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Don van Vliet; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Shiny Beast of Thought im Oktober 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.732,77).
