Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2014 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work A Royal Navy Frigate And Cutters Drifting In A Calm by Dominic Serres. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,561.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dominic Serres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Capture Of Havana, Cuba: The Taking Of The Town By British Forces Under The Command Of The Earl Of Albemarle, 14 August 1762 in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 581,000.00 (€ 690,353.69).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Capture Of Havana, Cuba: The Taking Of The Town By British Forces Under The Command Of The Earl Of Albemarle, 14 August 1762 im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 581.000,00 (€ 690.353,69).
