Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism, which included the work Portrait of a Venetian Senator, three-quarter length, in a red ermine-lined robe standing by a window with a mountainous landscape beyond by Domenico Robusti. The price achieved of EUR 37,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Robusti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A group portrait of four Venetian senators, bust-length in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 341,000.00 (€ 398,684.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a Venetian Senator, three-quarter length, in a red ermine-lined robe standing by a window with a mountainous landscape beyond von Domenico Robusti zur Versteigerung kam.
