This work of art by Domenico Morone could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Old Master Pictures auction, the work The Death of Uriah the Hittite; and The Announcement of the Death of Uriah to King David and Bathseba: presumably the end panels from a cassone changed hands for GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,811.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00.
