Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Saint Francis, a fragment by Domenico Morone was sold in the Old Masters & 19th Century Art Including Select Works From the Salander-O'Reilly Galleries auction at Christies in New York in June 2010. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,187.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domenico Morone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Death of Uriah the Hittite; and The Announcement of the Death of Uriah to King David and Bathseba: presumably the end panels from a cassone, which sold at auction in July 2005 for GBP 24,000.00 (€ 34,811.77).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.187,05) einen neuen Besitzer.
