Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Scena storica by Domenico Morelli was sold in the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO auction at Christies in Rome in June 2004. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,860.00. Admittedly, works by Domenico Morelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A seated moor with a sword (recto); A nude woman (verso) in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,639.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Scena storica von Domenico Morelli wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO bei Christies in Rom versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.860,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Domenico Morelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A seated moor with a sword (recto); A nude woman (verso) im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.639,25).
