Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Figura orientale by Domenico Morelli was auctioned at Il Ponte in April 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 320.00 – 340.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domenico Morelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A seated moor with a sword (recto); A nude woman (verso) in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,639.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Figura orientale von Domenico Morelli im April 2018 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 320,00 – 340,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 300,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domenico Morelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A seated moor with a sword (recto); A nude woman (verso) im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.639,25).
