Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Escape Artists: The Non-Conformists Online, which included the work Sky And Sea by Dmitry Prigov. It changed hands for a price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,958.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by Dmitry Prigov have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Man was auctioned for GBP 20,900.00 (€ 29,265.41).

Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Escape Artists: The Non-Conformists Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sky And Sea von Dmitry Prigov zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.958,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Dmitry Prigov konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2007 die Arbeit Man für GBP 20.900,00 (€ 29.265,41) versteigert.
