Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Mystery; Woman On A Black Circle by Dmitry Prigov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,311.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Dmitry Prigov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 20,900.00 (€ 29,265.41).
