Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Russian Miracle And Portrait Of G.V. Catull From The Series Bestiarium: A Pair by Dmitry Prigov was sold in the Russian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 8,832.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitry Prigov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 20,900.00 (€ 29,265.41).

Die Arbeit Russian Miracle And Portrait Of G.V. Catull From The Series Bestiarium: A Pair von Dmitry Prigov wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Russian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 8.832,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dmitry Prigov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 20.900,00 (€ 29.265,41) versteigert wurde.
