Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait Of Princess Varvara Golitsyna by Dmitry Levitsky was sold in the Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 365,000.00 (€ 495,652.45). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitry Levitsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Emperor Paul I (1754-1801), which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 862,500.00 (€ 1,005,036.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Princess Varvara Golitsyna von Dmitry Levitsky wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 350.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 365.000,00 (€ 495.652,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Dmitry Levitsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Emperor Paul I (1754-1801) beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für GBP 862.500,00 (€ 1.005.036,72) versteigert wurde.
