Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Count Ilya Andreevich Bezborodko by Dmitry Levitsky was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 438,500.00 (€ 489,843.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 350,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitry Levitsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Emperor Paul I (1754-1801), which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 862,500.00 (€ 1,005,036.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Count Ilya Andreevich Bezborodko von Dmitry Levitsky kam im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 438.500,00 (€ 489.843,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 350.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dmitry Levitsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Emperor Paul I (1754-1801) beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für GBP 862.500,00 (€ 1.005.036,72) versteigert wurde.
