Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dmitry Levitsky could be acquired at Christies in New York in June this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Maîtres Anciens : Peintures - Sculptures auction, the work Portrait de trois-quarts de Denis Diderot changed hands for EUR 132,300.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dmitry Levitsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Emperor Paul I (1754-1801) in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 862,500.00 (€ 1,005,036.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dmitry Levitsky konnte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Maîtres Anciens : Peintures - Sculptures wechselte die Arbeit Portrait de trois-quarts de Denis Diderot für EUR 132.300,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dmitry Levitsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Emperor Paul I (1754-1801) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 862.500,00 (€ 1.005.036,72).
