Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dmitry Levitsky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2009. In the Russian Paintings Day Sale auction, the work Portrait Of Prince Alexander Prozorovsky sold for GBP 193,250.00 (€ 217,992.80) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dmitry Levitsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Emperor Paul I (1754-1801) in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 862,500.00 (€ 1,005,036.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dmitry Levitsky erzielte im Dezember 2009 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Paintings Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of Prince Alexander Prozorovsky für GBP 193.250,00 (€ 217.992,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dmitry Levitsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Emperor Paul I (1754-1801) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 862.500,00 (€ 1.005.036,72).
