The work Cosmic Leaf by Dmitri Plavinsky was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 60,116.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitri Plavinsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vivaldi'S Music Upon The Grand Canal, which sold at auction in November 2015 for GBP 140,500.00 (€ 200,121.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cosmic Leaf von Dmitri Plavinsky wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 60.116,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Dmitri Plavinsky mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vivaldi'S Music Upon The Grand Canal beobachtet, die im November 2015 für GBP 140.500,00 (€ 200.121,38) versteigert wurde.
