Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work View of the village of Sloterdijk, near Amsterdam by Dirk Verrijk for GBP 378.00 (€ 444.05). This price was achieved in the auction Quality in Detail. The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dirk Verrijk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Pair Of Views Of The Castle Of Loenersloot in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,763.43).
