Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of EUR 8,125.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16 %. Admittedly, works by Dirk Smorenberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Loosdrechtse Plassen in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 68,500.00.

Die Arbeit Wellensicht - A View Of A Mountain Lake von Dirk Smorenberg kam im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.125,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dirk Smorenberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Loosdrechtse Plassen im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.500,00.
