Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations, which included the work Terrace of Hotel De Driesprong at the Loosdrechtse Plassen by Dirk Smorenberg. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,250.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dirk Smorenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Loosdrechtse Plassen in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 68,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Terrace of Hotel De Driesprong at the Loosdrechtse Plassen von Dirk Smorenberg zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.250,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dirk Smorenberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Loosdrechtse Plassen im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.500,00.
