Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A Dutch water landscape by Dirk Nijland. The price achieved of EUR 956.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Dirk Nijland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Netten bij Laag Water in May 2002 with an auction result of EUR 6,572.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Dutch water landscape von Dirk Nijland zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 956,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dirk Nijland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Netten bij Laag Water im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.572,50.
