Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Schorren by Dirk Nijland was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2008. The price achieved of EUR 2,375.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dirk Nijland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Netten bij Laag Water, which sold at auction in May 2002 for EUR 6,572.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Schorren von Dirk Nijland kam im Februar 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.375,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dirk Nijland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Netten bij Laag Water beobachtet, die im Mai 2002 für EUR 6.572,50 versteigert wurde.
