In November 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work Travellers by a fountain, a river landscape in the distance by Dionijs Verburgh. The result of EUR 3,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dionijs Verburgh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Extensive River Landscape With Huntsmen In The Foreground, A Town Beyond, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Travellers by a fountain, a river landscape in the distance von Dionijs Verburgh zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dionijs Verburgh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Extensive River Landscape With Huntsmen In The Foreground, A Town Beyond beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.153,11) versteigert wurde.
