Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work A Bosky Landscape With Figures On A Path In The Foreground Playing Hide-And-Seek; A Bosky Landscape With Figures On A Path In The Foreground by Dionijs Verburgh for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,559.81). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and Early British Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Dionijs Verburgh have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2008 by the work An Extensive River Landscape With Huntsmen In The Foreground, A Town Beyond at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,153.11).
