A top price for Dionis Baixeras - as previously expected
In April 2005 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work The Boatmen of Barcelona by Dionis Baixeras. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,200.00 (€ 24,150.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Boatmen of Barcelona is the most expensive artwork by Dionis Baixeras that we have observed at auctions so far.
