Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Augenturm No 4 & No 5, 1977 by Dieter Appelt for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,502.53). This price was achieved in the auction The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dieter Appelt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Forth Bridge - Cinema. Metric Space' in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 49,165.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Augenturm No 4 & No 5, 1977 von Dieter Appelt für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.502,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dieter Appelt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Forth Bridge - Cinema. Metric Space' im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 49.165,28).
