This artwork by Diego Rivera achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in June last year. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work El mercado de flores (Flower Market, Yellow Ground) sold for USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,698.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diego Rivera achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rivals in November last year with an auction result of USD 14,130,000.00 (€ 13,687,881.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Diego Rivera erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit El mercado de flores (Flower Market, Yellow Ground) für USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.698,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Diego Rivera erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Rivals im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.130.000,00 (€ 13.687.881,43).
