This artwork by Dick Ket achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001. In the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART auction, the work A Self Portrait sold for NLG 37,600.00 (€ 18,072.32) - well above the upper estimate of NLG 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dick Ket achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stilleven met fluit: a still life with flute in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 241,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Dick Ket erzielte im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART wurde die Arbeit A Self Portrait für NLG 37.600,00 (€ 18.072,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von NLG 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dick Ket erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stilleven met fluit: a still life with flute im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 241.000,00.
