Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Mirror by Derrick Greaves was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,286.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Derrick Greaves have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Labourers with dog in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 18,000.00 (€ 26,684.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Mirror von Derrick Greaves kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.286,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Derrick Greaves auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Labourers with dog im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.000,00 (€ 26.684,35).
