The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,063.00 (€ 1,270.28), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dennis Creffield - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Petworth House: South end from East, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,700.30).

Die Arbeit Seated Nude von Dennis Creffield wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion The Robert Devereux Collection of Post-War British Art in aid of the African Arts Trust, Sale 3 bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.063,00 (€ 1.270,28) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Dennis Creffield mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Petworth House: South end from East beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.700,30) versteigert wurde.
