Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Dead Letters (a triptych) by Denmark was worth EUR 6,250.00 to a buyer in April 2015. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary at Christies in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Denmark - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Time Magazine, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,231.66).
