Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2003 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Suseneo by Denise Green. The price achieved of AUD 1,762.50 (€ 1,063.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Denise Green have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work American Rhapsody in August 2002 with an auction result of AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,267.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2003 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Suseneo von Denise Green zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 1.762,50 (€ 1.063,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Denise Green auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit American Rhapsody im August 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.267,49).
