A top price for Denise Green - as previously expected
The work American Rhapsody by Denise Green was sold in the AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in August 2002. The price achieved of AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,267.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, American Rhapsody is the most expensive artwork by Denise Green that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit American Rhapsody von Denise Green wurde im August 2002 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.267,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist American Rhapsody das teuerste Kunstwerk von Denise Green, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
