Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Denis Peploe could be acquired at Sothebys in London in August 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Scottish and Sporting Pictures auction, the work Westerly Landscape changed hands for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,740.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Denis Peploe have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2007 by the work Flowers on a Balcony at GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,416.70).
