Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Street Scene by Denis Peploe was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,718.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Denis Peploe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers on a Balcony, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,416.70).

Die Arbeit Street Scene von Denis Peploe wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.718,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Denis Peploe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers on a Balcony beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 5.040,00 (€ 7.416,70) versteigert wurde.
