Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Paintings auction, the work Greek cabaret changed hands for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 46,287.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Femme En Noir , which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 79,250.00 (€ 95,819.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis konnte im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion European Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Greek cabaret für GBP 39.650,00 (€ 46.287,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Femme En Noir beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 79.250,00 (€ 95.819,21) versteigert wurde.
