In November 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Portrait Of Fanny, The Artist'S Wife by Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 79,250.00 (€ 86,728.91), 59% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Greek Femme En Noir sold at auction in November 2008 with the realized price of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 95,819.21).

Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Portrait Of Fanny, The Artist'S Wife von Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 86.728,91) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Demetrius Emmanuel Galanis; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Greek Femme En Noir im November 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 95.819,21).
