Auction result well in line with expectations
The work They've Got the Guts, Back 'Em Up With More Metal by Dean Cornwell was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 23,080.75) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Dean Cornwell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study for 'The History of Transportation' Mural in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 115,565.64).
